Revisited this group from last year. Great reports from progress made in local churches who had transitioned to preaching directly from God's Word.
Doke was the third
and most difficult of the trainings. It was located right across a rock quarry
which made teaching difficult. We also
taught in three languages. They brought
out their PA system to help.
Name of the village - Shaba Dino - comes from a man who had a reputation for being mean and fighting. People traveling through would ask where he
was for fear of their safety.
One day Shaba - the
mans name - died. So he became no more
which translated Dino. So Shaba Dino - mean
man is no more.
Best guess, we had
about 200 there with another 25 little children. Super late arriving so we did Exodus 3 first,
them moved outside for the rest of the teaching. Much cooler outside.
This
was sponsored by Hiwote Berhan a denomination from Swedish and Finnish
Descent. They have a great work that
focuses on rural churches.
